Analysts appreciate LEAs for maintaining peace in ICT
November 28, 2024

Brig (Retd) Babar Allaudin (Defense Analyst):

The nation criticized leaders of the PTI for inciting chaos under the guise of political protests. The agenda of these people was to shed blood which was not fulfilled. The indiscriminate use of the resources of the provincial government for the political activities is highly deplorable for the people of the province. The anarchist elements cannot be allowed to obstruct the development and progress of the country. Protests, anarchy and unrest are lethal for the economy. Pakistan Stock Exchange had crossed the mark of 99,000 points before the protest, which nosedived in just one day with a decline of around 4,000 points. PTI laid the foundation of anarchical protests in 2014 and has been pursuing this tendency and approach since then. One party has attempted to create unrest in the country on important occasions like the visit of Chinese President, SCO conference and visit of the Saudi delegation. We all appreciated the Islamabad, Punjab, and Sindh police, Rangers and other Law Enforcement Agencies for successfully repulsing miscreants' onslaught and purging the Federal Capital of them. All the Law Enforcing Agencies should be appreciated for maintaining peace and stability in the Federal Capital and pushing the violent protestors back.

Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Raza Muhammad Khan (Defense Analyst):

It is very good news that the government amicably handled the situation in Islamabad. There was no use of force or weapons against the protestors. The government exercised restraint and patience to foil designs of those who wanted to do politics on corpses. Nine hundred protestors were arrested from different areas which included most wanted criminals and thirty seven Afghan nationals who were brought to incite anarchy. Their agenda was to derail the country's forward march on economic front and sabotage foreign investments. It must also be kept in the mind that the negative use of social media is also destroying basic fabric of the society. The use of social media against security forces and national institutions should be stopped.
