Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan says transforming historic Pakistan-Iran relations into trade relations is essential for development of both the countries.

He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation led by Iranian Parliament member Muhammad Mirzaei in Lahore today.

The meeting discussed promotion of parliamentary and economic relations between Pakistan and Iran. The Speaker Punjab Assembly said parliamentary contacts play a vital role in further strengthening bilateral ties.

In his remarks, Muhammad Mirzaei said Iran is keen to strengthen its relations with Pakistan in various sectors. He also invited Speaker Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan to visit Iran.
