The All Parties Hurriyat Conference leadership has extended heartfelt felicitations to the people and Government of Pakistan on Pakistan Day.
According to Kashmir Media Service, incarcerated APHC Chairman Masarrat Aalam Butt, senior leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and Molvi Bashir Irfani in their separate messages from jails prayed for the stability, prosperity and progress of Pakistan.
They said the ongoing freedom struggle in IIOJK is the continuation of the Pakistan Movement and that the Kashmiris draw inspiration from the historic Resolution of March 23, 1940.
The APHC leaders said that the Kashmiri people are highly grateful to the government and people of Pakistan for their continued moral, political and diplomatic support to their just cause.
The leadership added that a strong and stable Pakistan is very important for the resolution of the lingering Kashmir dispute.
In Srinagar and other areas of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Kashmiri people have displayed posters with greeting messages for Pakistani brethren on their national day.
The posters displayed by APHC and other Hurriyat organizations were inscribed with slogans like Hum Pakistani Hain, Pakistan Hamara Hai, Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan.
The posters with the Pakistan flag were also bearing pictures of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Allama Muhammad Iqbal, Liaqat Ali Khan and Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir.
