Major Gen. Retd. Ijaz Awan: (Defense Analyst): Pakistan and Saudi Arabia played a leadership by arranging the OIC extra ordinary session on Afghanistan at a very time when the country is almost at verge of human crisis. Pakistan should be lauded for the diligent and timely efforts of highlighting the Afghan crisis at international forums. The extraordinary session of OIC held in Islamabad is an unprecedented diplomatic session on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in war torn country. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia should be equally credited for the materialization of the novel OIC conference. Pakistan has foreseen that instability in Afghanistan will eventually lead to instability in Pakistan. The political and economic turmoil will not only be contained in Afghanistan but they will spill over in the entire region. It is the moral obligation of the United States of America to clean their mess and the champions of democracy should not further delay the provision of humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan. The world needs to understand that Taliban is not a derogatory term. Taliban have been resilient to the foreign invasion. But the Doha Talks unveil that Taliban have rejuvenated themselves in accordance with dynamics of current epoch. The incumbent government of Taliban should not be associated with terrorist organizations and economic subversion against Afghan people should be culminated once for all.
Dr Rashid Ahmed Khan: (Defense Analyst): The United States of America is in direct contact with the incumbent Afghan government since Doha Talks. The recent development at the platform of OIC will leave the US as well as the global powers with no (pseudo) plausible justifications for containing legit assets of Afghanistan. There might be some technical, legal and temporal spatial hurdles that might prolong the provision of funds to Afghanistan. The hurdle of economic sanctions will not further jeopardize the Afghan crisis after the extraordinary session of OIC. The United States has also acknowledged the decisive and constructive role of Pakistan in curbing the imminent humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.
Maulana Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi: (Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East): The statement from US officials is synonymous to the diplomatic triumph of Pakistan at the international level. The spoilers in the region that were extraneously conniving against Pakistan to isolate it at international forums have been provided with a befitting response. Pakistan is the only country that has anticipated that the political and economic stability in Afghanistan will yield turmoil in the entire region. Moreover, the PTI-led government has efficiently conveyed the message to the world that Pakistan is a peace loving country. The peace in Afghanistan is imperative for the peace in the region as well as for stability at international level. The international community has complied with the narrative of Pakistan which will not only cut short the Afghan crisis but will also have a burgeoning impact on the international prestige of the state.
Dr. Khurram Iqbal: (IR Expert): The international contours play a deterministic role in deciding the fate of any self-determination movement. Currently, the international political forces including USA and other western powers are reluctant to take the Kashmir issue more serious due to their vested interests. The only way out in such a situation is to keep the freedom movement alive by any means. The innocent Kashmiris are keeping the flame alive by rendering their own blood. Moreover, Pakistan has also taken rational steps to keep the Kashmir cause intact at the international forums. The decision of revocation of article 370 and 35A by the Modi-led Indian government is an epitome of barbarity and human rights abuse. But, the international community has not rightfully responded to the Indian atrocities by virtue of their parochial interests with India. The silence of the international community has encouraged India to pursue ethnic cleansing and demographic change in Kashmir which they master off as evident in the case of Khalistan movement. The Kashmiri Diasporas in the United Kingdom are vocal of the human rights abuse in Illegally Indian Occupied Kashmir which is the only optimal option in accordance with the current settings of international political matrix.
