The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called on the Indian government to abandon its rigid stance and acknowledge the ground realities of the Kashmir dispute.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar condemned the increasing cordon-and-search operations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, especially during the harsh winter months.

Abdul Rashid Minhas stated that these operations aim to suppress the freedom sentiments of the Kashmiri people. He described the territory as a "massive jail," where political expression is stifled under the pressure of draconian laws and military force.

Indian forces have intensified crackdowns on Kashmiri activists by filing baseless charges to silence voices advocating for the right to self-determination.

The latest chargesheet has been filed against several Kashmiris on the charge of supporting the pro-freedom movement through social media platforms.

Meanwhile, protests against the controversial Reservation Policy in IIOJK continue to gain momentum, drawing support from key political figures, student organizations, and the Sikh community.

Senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed solidarity with the protests led by the Kashmiri students, calling for fairness and justice in the policy. Mirwaiz pledged to raise the issue in his sermons at Jamia Masjid Srinagar.

On the other hand, posters have appeared in Srinagar declaring Kashmir as part of Pakistan, strongly criticizing India’s occupation.

The posters, displayed by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference and other pro-freedom organizations, highlight the deprivation of Kashmiris' political, economic, religious, and social rights under Indian rule.

These posters also condemned India’s denial of Kashmiris' right to self-determination as per United Nations resolutions.

Additionally, the posters paid tribute to Pakistan's founder, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on his birth anniversary, praising his leadership and vision that led to the creation of a separate homeland for Muslims in 1947.

APHC-AJK Convener Ghulam Mohammad Sufi and other Hurriyat leaders have expressed heartfelt condolences over the death of senior Hurriyat leader Abdul Majeed Malik in Islamabad.

Malik was a dedicated advocate for the Kashmir cause and a prominent figure in the struggle for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
