The All Parties Hurriyat Conference says lasting peace in South Asia will remain an illusion without a just and lasting resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

The APHC spokesman, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar urged United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres to take immediate notice of the dire situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.   

The APHC spokesman termed the prevailing situation in IIOJK as extremely critical, marked by rampant arbitrary detentions, harassment and intimidation by Indian forces, and systematic deprivation of local rights by the puppet regime, which have become a daily norm.

Meanwhile, posters featuring the picture of Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, praising him for advocating the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination have appeared in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the posters displayed on the outskirts of Srinagar, inscribed with General Asim Munir’s statements on Kashmir.

The posters call on the international community to fulfill the promise made to the Kashmiri people through UN resolutions.
