Kashmiris on both sides of LoC & world observe India's Republic Day as Black Day

Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and the world over observed India’s Republic Day as Black Day, today (Tuesday), to send a loud and clear message to the world that they categorically reject illegal occupation of their motherland by India.

According to Kashmir Media Service, call for the observance of the day was given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz-led Hurriyat forum and other Hurriyat leaders and organizations.

The day was marked by a complete strike in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and anti-India demonstrations and rallies in Azad Kashmir, Pakistan and world capitals.

Strict restrictions coupled with suspension of Internet services were imposed by the Modi-led fascist Indian regime across Kashmir valley on Indian Republic Day, today.

Sharpshooters were deployed atop high-rise buildings while vigil was kept through drones on the roads leading to a stadium in Srinagar, the main venue for the function.

The troops carried out random searches in and around Lal Chowk and adjoining areas in Srinagar to prevent protests. Indian police arrested Hurriyat leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, during a raid at his office in Srinagar.

The leaders urged the UN and other human rights organizations to take cognizance of gross human rights violations by brutal Indian forces in the territory and resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

Protest rallies and demonstrations held in AJK

In Azad Jammu and Kashmir Protest rallies and demonstrations were held to mark Indian Independence day as black Day today to convey the message that India had usurped Kashmiris' right to self-determination.

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan, in his message on Black Day, said that India has usurped the fundamental right of millions of Kashmiris and its forces are involved in the massive human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

India has no right to observe its Independence Day.

Meanwhile, Black flags were hoisted on various public spots to condemn Indian atrocities by Indian forces in Indian illegally occupied Kashmir.

In Muzaffarabad, a protest demonstration was taken out under the aegis of Kashmir Liberation Cell.

Participants of the rally holding placards and banners inscribed with anti-India and pro-freedom slogans marched from Secretariat Complex towards Burhan Muzaffarwani Chowk.

Addressing the rally, the speakers invited the attention of the international community and United Nations towards the continued, unlawful, and forced Indian occupation of Jammu & Kashmir for the last seven decades.

APHC stages protest in front of Indian High Commission in Islamabad

All Parties Hurriyat Conference staged a protest in front of Indian High Commission in Islamabad today.

The protesters were carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against Indian oppressions in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the occasion, the speakers said India is perpetrating gross human rights violations in the illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and also involved in genocide of innocent Kashmiri people.

The APHC leaders said India will not succeed to suppress the freedom movement of Kashmiri people by the use of force and coward tactics.

They said peace is not possible in the region without resolution of Kashmir dispute. The Protestors urged international community to stop India from committing brutalities in the held valley.
