In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has appealed to the world community to resolve Kashmir dispute and investigate the war crimes being committed by Indian troops.
According to Kashmir Media Service, APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar said the resilient Kashmiris have never accepted India's illegal and forcible occupation of their motherland despite facing unprecedented brutalities.
He said that India cannot prolong its illegal occupation over Kashmir and the day is not far when the Kashmiris will get freedom from its yoke.
The spokesperson said the Kashmiri people would continue their just struggle till attaining their inalienable right to self-determination.
Expressing concern over the surge in atrocities in IIOJK, he condemned the continued illegal detention of Hurriyat leadership, including APHC Chairman Masarat Alam Butt, Shabbir Ahmed Shah, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Nayeem Ahmed Khan and Aasiya Andrabi, languishing in jails of India and the occupied territory.
Meanwhile, the occupation authorities have once again placed senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest to prevent him from attending a function in memory of late Mirwaiz Molvi Muhammad Yousuf Shah in Srinagar.
On the other hand, well-known Ladakhi activist Sonam Wangchuk, addressing a rally in Leh, has called for a march on April 7 in support of the demands of the people of Ladakh.
