Death anniversary of comedian film star Munawar Zarif was observed on Wednesday.

He was a versatile actor and comedian best known for his work in the Pakistani cinema of the 1970s. Munawar Zarif was one of the most famous comedians of South Asia.   

He started his career as an artist in 1960 and died in Lahore in 1976.

He performed in more than 300 films and was awarded the Nigar Award for his outstanding performance.
