Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad (Chairman Ruyat-i-Hilal Committee): We condemn the attack on JUI-F convention in Bajaur in the strongest terms. We pray for all the martyred persons. May God grant them higher place in Jannah! We also pray for swift recovery of the injured. The perpetrators of these attacks are not humans and they deserve no mercy. These kind of terrorist attacks have been orchestrated by enemies of Pakistan in order to create a negative image of the country. Pakistan is a bastion of Islam. Our valiant armed forces and security forces are ever ready to foil the nefarious designs of enemies. Islam does not permit anyone to kill other human beings. Today, the whole nation should be united to remove these elements from our ranks. We will not allow any enemy agenda to succeed. We stand with our armed forces in their fight against the evil forces.

Lt.  Gen. (Retd.) Raza Muhammad Khan (Security Expert): Implementation of National Action Plan and provincial action plans can ensure the complete eradication of terrorism. Today’s tragic incident of terrorism on a political party convention in Bajaur is a source of concern. The political parties need to be very vigilant against such attempts by enemies of peace. The people, society and the media should stand behind their security forces in their mission to rid the country of terrorists. People should inform the authorities about terrorists hidden among the public. Today, the Senate debated on legislation against terrorism. We need to devise new and stringent laws to deal with the menace of terrorism.
