APHC calls for strike on martyrdom anniversary of Burhan Wani in IIOJK

In Indian' Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has called for a complete shutdown on Saturday on the 7th martyrdom anniversary of popular youth leader, Burhan Muzaffar Wani.

Burhan Wani along with his two associates was martyred by Indian troops in a fake encounter in Kokernag area of Islamabad district on July 8, 2016. The posters regarding the shutdown are being posted on social media including twitter, facebook and whatsapp on a large scale.

Meanwhile, Kashmiri political parties including National Conference, Peoples Democratic Party and Communist Party of India-Marxist in their statements in Srinagar expressed the hope that the Indian Supreme Court would declare the Modi regime’s August 5, 2019 move to abrogate Article 370 as ultra vires, illegal and unlawful, and would restore the special status of occupied Jammu and Kashmir. In a tweet, PDP President Mehbooba Mufti said the Article 370 can only be abrogated on the recommendation of the Jammu and Kashmir Constituent Assembly.

On the other hand, The Ladakh Tourist Trade Alliance, has announced to launch an agitation after July 15 against the Indian business tycoons, planning to grab local businesses including the tourism industry in Ladakh.

In another development, a Special Police Officer committed suicide with his service rifle while on duty at the post in Hiranagar area of Kathua district.
