The 57th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council begins in Geneva from today. 

An eight-member Kashmiri delegation, representing voices from both sides of the Line of Control will attend the session.

During their visit, delegation is scheduled to engage in critical discussions with key officials from the Human Rights Council, including Special Rapporteurs, diplomats, and representatives from international non-governmental organizations.

The primary objective of their participation is to highlight the ongoing human rights violations in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The delegation aims to inform the global community about the Indian government’s efforts to alter the demographics of the territory.
