Waheed Ahmad (Former Ambassador): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is vigorously holding meetings with leading international business tycoons to convince them to invest in Pakistan. I think that vision of our prime minister is commendable as we are required to convince international companies and corporate sector to invest in Pakistan. Foreign investment in Pakistan is vital for gearing the economic pace upward and sustainable economic growth. In this regard, Pakistan is required to show off to the world about its potential as an emerging global market with immense economic profit making opportunities.
Dr Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): Dubai summit is crucial as it provides the participants with enormous opportunities to learn from each other’s experiments to improve their governance. Pakistan and Bosnia have historical cordial relations based on mutual respect and shared values. Today’s meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Bosnian head of the state is result of fruitful efforts carried out by both sides for cementing bilateral ties. Prime Minister’s meeting with the American businessmen will also further increase the tune of foreign investment in Pakistan. It will strengthen economy of Pakistan and the US investment in Pakistan will increase. Pakistan bore huge economic losses in the war against terrorism, so now the US needs to do more to improve our losses in the form of investment in Pakistan.
