August 14, 2018

In occupied Kashmir, people observed Pakistan's Independence Day today with great enthusiasm and zeal.

People celebrated the Day by staging pro-Pakistan rallies and demonstrations, hoisting Pakistani flags and holding march pasts in every nook and corner of the held territory.

One such rally was taken out by the students of Bijbehara Degree College at Zirpora, the hometown of former puppet Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, in Islamabad district.

The students carrying Pakistani flags shouted pro-Pakistan slogans.

The youth and teenage boys saluted Pakistani flag during parades in Srinagar, Pulwama and other parts of the occupied territory.

Pakistani national anthem was also played at different places.

Three non-local youth were thrashed by people at Lal Chowk in Srinagar after they tried to hoist Indian flag at historical Ghanta Ghar.

Hurriyet leaders including Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mufti Nasirul Islam, besides illegally detained Masarrat Aalam Butt, Aasiya Andrabi, Shabbir Ahmad Shah and others in their statements and messages greeted people of Pakistan on the Independence Day.

Syed Ali Gilani in his message said that the people of Kashmir are highly grateful to Pakistan for extending its wholehearted moral, political and diplomatic support to the just cause of Kashmir.

The APHC-AJK at a meeting in Islamabad also felicitated people as well as Government of Pakistan.

Kashmiris to observe Indian Independence Day as black day

Kashmiris will observe Indian Independence Day tomorrow (Wednesday) as black day.

The Black Day will be marked by a complete strike in the occupied territory, call for which has been given by the Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik.

Indian authorities have made toughest measures in the name of security in all parts of central, south, and north Kashmir to stop the Kashmiris from staging anti-India demonstrations.

Indian army, paramilitary and police personnel have been deployed in strength to ensure smooth conduct of the India’s Independence Day celebrations, tomorrow (Wednesday).

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate a Delhi-based Indian investigative agency has summoned Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik and two others in a fake case dating back to 2001.

Commenting on the ED notice, the JKLF Chairman termed it a part of Indian ploy to intimidate resistance leadership.
