Dr. Abid Qayyum Sulehri (Economist): The theme of this year's World Economic Forum summit is very important keeping in view the current global challenges. The situation in the Middle East is deteriorating and today an unprovoked violation of airspace by Iran in our country is strongly condemnable. The issues like global economy and climate change will be given special attention during the moot. All these issues are relevant to Pakistan. It is the responsibility of the upcoming government in Pakistan to revive the economy and cope with the climate change issue. The recommendations of the current Davos gathering will help the government in decision making for the right path.

Rana Ihsaan Afzal (Economist): World Economic Forum is an important forum for the public sector from all over the world. The visitors pitch the economy in front of the participants. It is an opportunity for good interactions with world leaders and intellectuals. Such a conference results in strengthening the economic and diplomatic relations. Pakistan has a great potential in the IT sector. The government should ensure consistency of policies and more incentives should be given to the IT Industry for its growth and additional exports.
