In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have arrested a number of Kashmiri people for staging protests against Israeli bombardment on Gaza.
Being an illegal occupier of Jammu and Kashmir, the Modi-led Indian regime has resorted to these brutal tactics to stop the Kashmiris from holding protest demonstrations against Israel’s aggression on Gaza.
Indian police swung into action and arrested most of the leadership at central, district and tehsil levels during the overnight raids.
Among those who were taken into custody included PDP General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone, Additional General Secretary Agha Syed Mohsin along with all district presidents across Kashmir valley and were lodged in police lockups.
However, in Kargil, women and children managed to stage a protest in Sankoo area of the district in solidarity with the people of Palestine, today.
PDP media advisor Iltija Mufti speaking at a press conference in Srinagar, today, asked the Modi government as to why it disallowed protests against the Israeli atrocities on innocent Palestinians.
She deplored that after the August 05, 2019 move, nobody in Jammu and Kashmir was allowed to raise voice for the oppressed people.
Meanwhile, a report released by Kashmir Media Service on the United Nations Day, today, said Kashmiris are awaiting the implementation of the world body’s resolutions regarding the ascertaining of their political future through plebiscite.
The report maintained that the United Nations Day is another reminder that the Kashmir dispute remains unresolved despite being on the World Body’s agenda for the past over seven decades.
On the other hand, Indian government has constituted a tribunal headed by a judge of Delhi High Court to apparently get a legal cover for its controversial decision to ban the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party led by jailed senior APHC leader, Shabbir Ahmed Shah.
