February 25, 2025

Prof Dr Aqeela Asif (IR Expert):

Pakistan and Iran concluded a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance bilateral trade. It is a positive development to gain mutual benefits. Now Pakistan is making strides on diplomatic front as in yesterday’s ‘Perspective’ program we discussed Pakistan’s agreement with Bangladesh for promoting bilateral trade relations and today we are discussing Pakistan-Iran MoU, four areas have been identified in the MoU including  increasing the tune of bilateral trade, visa facilitation especially business visa and others. Iran has made commitments to reduce business visa fee. It may increase people to people interaction. Regional cooperation is very important and initiatives can lead to shared benefits for economic prosperity in the region.
