Kashmiri leader Abdul Hameed Lone has said Indian government cannot suppress the voice of oppressed people of Kashmir and local farmers for a long time.   

Talking to PTV, he said the police action against the protesting farmers is unbearable and the Indian government must immediately stop its escalating crackdown on protesters.

He called for the immediate and unconditional release of those arrested solely for peacefully exercising their rights to freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
