In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has expressed serious concern over the ongoing spree of killing and arrest by the Indian brutal forces.
The APHC leadership at a top-level meeting in Srinagar, on Monday, stressed that political engagement is the most effective way to move forward and end bloodshed.
A statement issued after the meeting advised India to shun stubbornness and lay the foundation of durable peace in South Asia by resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with the Kashmiris’ aspirations.
The meeting lashed out at ruling Bharatiya Janata Party for bulldozing houses of Muslim community members over blasphemy protests and warned that the ongoing onslaught against Muslims would eventually destroy India itself, one day.
Meanwhile, curfew continued for the fifth consecutive day, on Monday, in Doda and Kishtwar towns against BJP leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal who made blasphemous remarks on Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Rasool Allah Khatamun-Nabbiyyin SAWW.
In Jammu, several people were arrested including head of Congress IIOJK unit, Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Monday after they took out a march in protest against the BJP policies.
Burqa-clad women and female students of local madrassas took to the streets in Sopore town. Holding placards and chanting slogans, the protesters demanded a stringent action against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar.
In London, hundreds of Kashmiris and their supporters rallied on roads and streets to impress upon their British government to play its part in holding India accountable for its war crimes in occupied territory.
On the other hand, thousands of people swarmed streets in New York, Houston, Texas, Chicago and other cities in the United States against the BJP government and persecution of Muslims in India.
