In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJ&K), a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of the Indian Army committed suicide in Udhampur.

This incident raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel in the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir to 485 since January 2007.

Meanwhile, Indian police has claimed to have arrested two youth for raising slogans and carrying petrol bottles with them during an elections rally in Kupwara.
